Shur-i-kan returns on Dark Energy with a selection of unashamedly smooth tracks collected and polished down from the vaults. It starts off with The Light, a gorgeous dreamy deep house nugget that features the subtle but dulcite tones of Stephen Rahman Hughes. Next off is 88th and 3rd, an ode to strolling the streets of NYC, that takes a wonky beat approach to house with off kilter snares and hats that barely hold together but keep the vibe swinging. Lastly is Remember a tune that should only be enjoyed with the lights down very low.
