Nick Slater and Lanx are certainly no strangers to the dance scene. Remember way back when the nations youth spent their weekends jumping around in fields necking dubious substances in the name of freedom to party? Well if your memory wasn't completely destroyed by the era, you will undoubtedly remember the legendary Shades of Rhythm. Two out of three, the reprehensible Nick and Lanx, along with vocalist Rayan Gee, were then responsible for tunes like 'Sweet Sensation', 'Homicide', 'Ecstasy' and 'Sound of Eden', tracks so seminal they're likely to induce misty-eyed mumblings about 'the good old days'.
Some ten years later Nick and Lanx have formed a new outfit and have re-emerged as The Drumattic Twins. Having discovered the downside of being tied down to the majors they set up their own label and released a handful of Drumattic tracks and started working on collaborations with Lee Coombs.
