The debuting Cloud hail from Los Angeles via Boston via New York and are now signed with London label and acclaimed "Specialists in Commercial Suicide" Audio Antihero. "Mother Sea" is the leading single from upcoming "Comfort Songs" LP, a stunning display of Alternative Pop Soundscapes held together with pounding piano, rapid percussion and torn vocals. The screeching lament that "I know it's not your fault, babe...how beautiful songs get old." gives way to to a spaced out sonic jam...it's just the tip of the iceberg but it's a good start.
Similarities can be drawn to Constellations artists like Clues, All-American Indie Rock groups like Sunny Day Real Eatate and American Football, the layered genre experiments of Modest Mouse and even a hint of that classic 60s pop/singer-songwriter sound...but just a hint.
