Yoruba Records presents Palmistry, a compilation featuring the labels newfound artists as well as a few known from the family.
Palmistry brings forth an array of dance music styles from deep house to moody techno.
We start off with newcomer Luis Davis' "Espacio". This one takes us back to the early days of house, whereas Dj Pippi, Kiko Navarro and Tuccilo bring you "Higher", that classic summer feel good athem. Afefe Iku offers us "Outer" another future classic!. Ale Reis, member of Nomunbah gives us two haunting minimal pieces "Locked" and Speechless" proving he is one to be watched in the scene and beyond.
Boddhi Satva breathes out "Big Theme" and delivers every bit of beat driven sound of the word BIG. The comps' first single comes from already acclaimed poet and artist, Oveous Maximus..produced by Boddhi Satva "I Apologize" brings the dance floor home with its rhythmic turns and Ove's spoken word and vocals.
All in All, Palmistry is an exploration of sorts into where house music has been and where it seems to be headed.
